Terms of Use
Version 2026-10-22
These are plain-language drafts for the friends-and-family stage. They have not been reviewed by a lawyer yet and will be before FitMate is opened to the public.
1. What FitMate is
FitMate is a personal fitness app: a dumbbell workout guide, progress tracking, a meal plan and a pelvic-floor trainer (Daily Squeeze). It is offered as a free service to friends and family, run by an individual.
2. Who can use it
You must be 18 or older. You sign in with a Google account, and access may be limited to people who have been invited. We may refuse or end access to anyone, for example for misuse.
3. Not medical or dietetic advice
FitMate gives general fitness information. Calorie and protein figures are estimates. It is not medical or dietetic advice and does not replace a doctor, dietitian or physiotherapist. Check with a professional before changing your training or eating, especially if you have a health condition, are pregnant, or have had surgery. Stop exercising if something hurts or you feel unwell.
4. Your content and sharing
The plans you create are yours. If you share a plan, people who open the link or receive it can see the plan content and your display name and photo. They never see your weights, goals, logs or any other personal data.
5. Acceptable use
Do not misuse FitMate: no attempts to break it or get into other people's data, no unlawful or abusive content in shared plans, and no automated scraping.
6. Availability
FitMate is provided as it is. It may change, be unavailable or stop, and we cannot promise it will never lose data. You can export your data at any time in Settings.
7. Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. This permanently deletes everything stored about you.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the person running FitMate is not liable for loss or harm from using it, including from following a workout or meal plan. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Each version has a number. When it changes you will be asked to read and accept it again before you carry on.
Questions or requests: contact the person who invited you to FitMate.
